MBFW: Carlos Díez
En ciertas ocasiones, la moda llega a extremos que crean gran controversia y diferencia de opiniones entre el público. Tal es el caso del último desfile de Carlos Díez dentro de la Madrid Fashion Week. Al ritmo de una “música” llena de bajos que hacían retumbar la instalación, el diseñador nos presenta una colección basada en tonos oscuros que versan del gris al negro, con algunos toques de color protagonizados por el naranja. Son looks muy callejeros que incluyen sudaderas y chubasqueros que parecen no haber entusiasmado a los asistentes. ¿Lo mejor del desfile? La aparición de dos modelos disfrazados con las caretas de los integrantes de Daft Punk y la alegría que mostraba el diseñador correspondiendo al título de la colección: “Smiley”.
There are certain moments in Fashion Week when collections bring a really controversial discussion and different opinions among the audience. That is the case of the last show of spanish designer Carlos Diez in the MBFW. To the rhythm of some kind of “music” full of basses that made the installation seem it was going to fall apart, the designer showed us a collection based in dark colours that go from the lightest grey till the darkest black, including some colour spots on orange. He offer us very street-like looks which include sweatshirts and plastic raincoats that didn’t seem to fulfil the interest of the attendees. The best of the show? The impersonation of two models as the members of music group Daft Punk and the joy the designer had at the end of the show, according to the title of this: “Smiley”.
