Fashion meets Architecture: Ailanto

Septiembre de 2012, la pasarela de una de las salas de la Mercedes Benz Fashion Week se cubre con un detalle muy especial: un estampado geométrico que evoca mármol anuncia la temática de la colección: La casa que el arquitecto Gio Ponti diseña para la familia Planchart. Hablamos de los diseñadores Aitor e Iñaki Muñoz, o lo que es lo mismo: Ailanto.

Tras haber abierto tienda en Madrid hace unas semanas (Calle Orellana, 14 – 91 702 55 14), decido recordar ese desfile de Primavera/Verano 2013 (que para mí fue el primero de los diseñadores) que me dejó con ganas de primavera. Con colores muy vivos e indescriptibles y a la vez con ciertos tonos pastel que se combinan con estampados lineales, tanto horizontales como verticales,  animales (tucanes y cacatúas rosados), prints vegetales y el mencionado efecto mármol.

Se trata de una colección muy cuidada, hasta el más mínimo detalle, con prendas maravillosas como el conjunto de short de cintura alta con blusa transparente fucsia o el conjunto a rayas horizontales negro y crudo. También destacar el detalle de los collares y los cinturones, que se entremezclan con cuellos especiales y volantes. Una colección única que se describe por sí sola. ¡No os perdáis nuetsra selección de imágenes!

September, 2012, the catwalk of one of the rooms in the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is covered with a very special detail: a geometric print that recalls marble shows the theme of the collection: The house designed by architect Gio Ponti for the Planchart family. We are talking about the designers Aitor and Iñaki Muñoz, or as they are known: Ailanto.

After having opened a shop in Madrid a few weeks ago (calle Orellana 14 – 91 702 55 14), I decide to remember that runway of Spring/Summer 2013 (that for me was the first of the designers) and which left me looking for spring. With very vivid and indescribable colours and certain pastel colours too that combine with linear prints (both horizontal and vertical), animals (toucans and cockatooes), vegetables and the above mentioned marble effect.

It is a very well cared for collection, till the last detail, with marvellous garments as the black short with high waist and fucshia blouse, or the black and white outfit with horizontal lines. I must also remark the detail of the necklaces and belts, that mix with the collars and flounces. It is an unique collection that describes itself. Don’t miss our selection of pictures!
